Ext/Day/Dark/Alleyway

 

Shot: Black screen with the graphic “SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND” across the bottom

-The phone connecting sound is heard for 3 rings. Sound of clatter as phone is picked up.

 

Shot: Establishing shot is an extreme wide shot with KATERINA in the distance. The credits fade in from bottom left and right hand corner.

(KATERINA briskly walks down lengthy alley way. Face contorted in a determined expression with her eye line just above the camera.)

 

CALL OPPERATOR V.O (Female)

You’ve reached Rossum Corporation’s customer complaint line, how may I be of help?

 

Shot: Low angle long shot shows legs walk past camera from the right

KATERINA V.O

(Without hesitation and with a strong Russian accent.)

Echo Victor Sierra Tango One One.

Shot: Long shot with KATERINA slightly closer.

 

 

CALL OPPERATOR V.O

(Slightly pauses)

Your complaint has been registered.

Shot: Wide shot, KATERINA has walked past the camera.

 

After analysis in class, Katie and I came to realise that this was an incorrect way to lay out our project script. The structure was wrong and we needed to change key parts in order to create a real script.

It is also not complete, the rest of the stage directions and dialogue have yet to be added. However, this is due to our immediate re-write after finding out that it was in-fact incorrect.

(KATERINA is stood on the riverbank with a mobile phone in her hand. She drops it onto a rock on the floor and stamps on it with the heel of her boot shattering the screen.)

 

White lettering appears across the bottom of the screen for translation

Ext/Day/Light/Café Shots 22-45

 

(STANISLAV is sat at a table drinking from a cup of coffee outside a moderately busy café. He begins to get impatient as he finishes his coffee and starts fiddling with the cup’s handle.)

 

(KATERINA is seen waiting on a different table. Removing an empty latte glass from their table and putting it on her tray.)

 

(GIRL 1 and GIRL 2 are sat at a table drinking tea. GIRL 1 laughs.)

 

(STANISLAV pulls up his sleeve to check his watch.)

 

(MOTHER leans forward to talk to CHILD 1 and CHILD 2.)

 

(KATERINA goes over to talk to GIRL 1 and GIRL 2.)

 

(STANISLAV rapidly taps his foot on the ground impatiently.)

 

(KATERINA places her tray on GIRL 1’s table. Walks over to STANISLAV’s table.)

 

KATERINA

(English accent)

Is everything okay, sir?

 

STANISLAV

(Looks up at KATERINA)

Yes, thank you, miss.

 

KATERINA

Let me know if that changes.

 

KATERINA takes the package by subtly swiping it under her apron and walks away from the café.

 

Ext/Day/Square Shots: 44-54

 

(KATERINA walks across the square towards the road, away from the café.)

 

(A grey Ford car pulls up blocking KATERINA from view)

 

(KATERINA grabs a coat and scarf from the back of a chair. She unties her apron and puts on the coat and scarf. She removes a pair of glasses from the package and puts them on, also taking off her cap and letting her hair down.)

 

(The car pulls away revealing KATERINA changed and still walking. She opens the package [which is in her coat pocket] and removes an earpiece before tilting her head and putting it into her left ear.)

 

Ext/Day/Road and Bus Stop Shots: 54-59

 

(KATERINA crosses the road and walks around the bus stop.)

 

(SHAUN is stood under the bus stop and watches her walk past)

 

Ext/Evening/Alleyway Shots: 60-63

 

(KATERINA walks down the alleyway.)

 

(SHAUN reaches out from a pillar and grabs KATERINA, pulling her behind a pillar)

EXT. ALLEYWAY – DAY

 

RAIN is pouring and KATERINA is seen walking down an alleyway.

 

The PHONE CONNECTING sound is heard for 3 RINGS. Sound of CLATTER as phone is picked up.

 

KATERINA briskly walks down lengthy alley way. Face contorted in a determined expression with her EYE LINE just above the CAMERA.

 

FEMALE CALL OPPERATOR (V.O.)

You’ve reached Rossum Corporation’s customer complaint line, how may I be of help?

 

KATERINA (V.O.)

(Russian accent.)      

Echo Victor Sierra Tango One One.

 

FEMALE CALL OPPERATOR (V.O.)

(Slightly pauses)      

Your complaint has been registered.

 

KATERINA walking toward CAMERA, closer.

 

RUSSIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC quickly fades in for a few seconds. LOUD BEEP ECHOES across the phone call.

 

STANISLAV (V.O.)

Line secure.

 

KATERINA (V.O.)

(Russian Accent)       

Assignment complete-target eliminated.

 

Subtitles appear across the bottom of the screen translating the Russian.

EXT.RIVERBANK - DAY

 

KATERINA is stood on the riverbank with a MOBILE PHONE in her hand. She drops it onto a ROCK on the floor and STAMPS on it with the heel of her boot SHATTERING the SCREEN.)

 

      Subtitles appear across the bottom of the screen translating the Russian.

KATERINA

(Russian)    

Eedu. (On my way.)

 

EXT.CAFÉ - DAY

 

STANISLAV is sat at a TABLE drinking from a CUP OF COFFEE outside a moderately busy CAFÉ. He begins to get impatient as he finishes his coffee and starts fiddling with the cup’s handle. KATERINA is seen waiting on a different table. She sets down a plate with a PASTRY.

 

INT.CAFE  DAY

 

GIRL 1, GIRL 2 AND GIRL 3 are sat at a table drinking tea AND COFFEE. GIRL 1 laughs.

 

EXT.CAFÉ – DAY

 

STANISLAV checks his watch. MOTHER and DAUGHTER are talking. STANISLAV rapidly taps his foot on the ground impatiently. KATERINA goes over to talk to MOTHER and DAUGHTER. KATERINA walks over to STANISLAV’s table.

 

KATERINA

(English accent)       

Is everything okay, sir?

 

STANISLAV

(Looks up at KATERINA)      

Yes, thank you, miss.

 

KATERINA

Let me know if that changes.

 

KATERINA takes the PACKAGE by subtly swiping it into her APRON and walks away from the CAFÉ.

 

EXT.PAVEMENT – DAY (GETTING DARKER)

 

KATERINA grabs a COAT and SCARF from the back of a CHAIR. She unties her APRON and puts on the COAT and SCARF. Also letting her HAIR DOWN.) KATERINA walks away from the CAFÉ down the PAVEMENT past the shops to the right. Removes an EARPIECE from the PACKAGE in her pocket before tilting her head and putting it into her EAR.

 

EXT. ROAD AND BUS STOP – DAY (GETTING DARKER)

 

KATERINA crosses the road and WALKS around the BUS STOP.) SHAUN is sat in the BUS STOP and watches KATERINA walk past. SHAUN then gets up and follows KATERINA at a distance.

 

EXT.ALLEYWAY - EVENING

 

KATERINA walks down the alleyway. SHAUN reaches out from a pillar and grabs KATERINA
